I gave a session on Agile Auditing at The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India’s Digital Accounting and Assurance Board (DAAB).
DAAB and Information Technology committee of SAFA had organized a session on Agile Auditing.

Key takeaway from the sessions:
1. Agile is a mindset.
2. The Agile methodology are practiced in bits and pieces without realizing it.
3. Any enlightened auditor practices they key values of “Collaboration”, “Individual customized approach”, “adapts to changing risks by adapting audit plans” and have documentation to support the issues raised.
4. Any enlightened auditors also work to ensure:
a. Audit committee expectation/ satisfaction,
b. Welcome Management request
c. Deliver assurance faster.
d. Work with operations
e. Keep the team motivated
f. Open and approachable and approaches people.
g. Believe in staying relevant
h. Deliver continuously (don’t become complacent)
i. Upgrade himself to deliver on changing needs
j. Keeps things simple
k. Empower team
l. Take time out to recharge and reflect.

a. Audit status report at granular level
b. White board to show Done, WIP, To Start
c. Time bound research/ Analysis of data
